HOOPER: SEL LENDS A SOLUTION TO THE INCREASINGLY TOXIC WORLD OF KIDS
TAMPA, Fla. (May 19, 2018)—An incident recently arose between students at Jesuit High School and Academy of the Holy Names that involved allegations of cyberbullying, homophobia, misogyny and assault. It only involved a fraction of the students at two of Tampa’s most prestigious schools, but if stories are to be believed, it’s as bad as it sounds. A Jesuit student created two lists, accusing some of his fellow students of being gay — he used the worse derogatory term. The list then played a role in creating a conflict at the Academy prom, which resulted in a Jesuit student being asked to leave the prom… (Full Story)

TAMPA, Fla. (April 16, 2018)—The Amalie Arena rumbled with noise from thousands of cheering fans, rattling their noisemakers and banging them against the seats. The chaotic energy was so loud you could feel the seats shake. But the Lightning faithful thundered applause not for the team, but for Plant High seniors Brooke Shapiro and Macie Lavender during the first period of the April 14 playoff game against the New Jersey Devils.
