We empower students. One of the most unique ways we do this is with our annual photography contest for high school students and middle school students in Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties. We’ve created an outlet for these students to use images to represent unexpressed emotion from the inside out.
This year, our “Call to Artist” is to submit a photo that conveys an unselfish act whereby one person places another person’s wishes above his or her own.
The deadline for submissions has been extended through March 25th!
Additionally, we have opened up submissions in a separate category just for middle school students!
The ‘Parent Consent Form 2017’ and the ‘Model Release Form 2017’ under Documents for Download must be signed and submitted by email to Holly Moon or mailed to Frameworks of Tampa Bay at 402 East Oak Avenue, Tampa FL 33602.

Artist Statement: This piece means a lot to me. It represents mental illness in the way that some people may not look at it, in more than one way. I’ve been searching for the positive in my mental illnesses and the one I’ve been able to hold onto is art. Although we might have scars; they create stories, strength, emotion, and showing that we may be broken but we are survivors.
