There’s something exciting about a new school year. Even after 25 years of teaching and as a mom to two grown daughters, I still experience the joy (and the butterflies) every August that come with new routines, new students, and new possibilities.
But that excitement also brings big emotions, for kids and adults.
Helping children understand and navigate those emotions is exactly what Frameworks of Tampa Bay exists to do. By partnering with trusted adults, like parents, family members, teachers, and youth development professionals, we can ensure every child is equipped to be the kind, collaborative, and capable citizens we know they can be. And when children know how to manage their emotions, they are better prepared to learn and thrive, too.
During the 2026-27 school year, Frameworks will help more than 8,500 students build the emotional intelligence skills needed for lifelong success.
Together with our partners and generous supporters, we are working to accomplish five core objectives this school year.

We Can’t Do This Work Without You
Emotional intelligence is the most important predictor of a child’s success. It’s what enables them to navigate any emotion, conversation, or situation, no matter how difficult. As today’s children face more challenges than any generation before them, your gift to Frameworks of Tampa Bay will expand programming to more schools and reach more students, helping every young person in our community succeed personally, academically, and professionally.
