School Funding

Invest in What Works – Strengthen Our Community

Over the past three years, generous grant funding has allowed Frameworks of Tampa Bay to deliver proven emotional intelligence (EQ) programming to five high-need elementary schools: Corr, Temple Terrace, Mort, Booker T. Washington, and Twin Lakes. These schools have been strong, committed partners, and together we’ve seen measurable improvements in student behavior, teacher confidence, and overall school climate.

These schools serve communities where many children face significant barriers to learning and well-being including poverty, housing instability, trauma, and limited access to mental health resources. According to recent district and Florida Department of Education data:

  • 80–95% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch
  • Higher-than-average absenteeism and behavioral referrals
  • Low kindergarten readiness and emotional regulation skills
  • Teachers report that they are not always able to meet students’ emotional needs

The Solution: Emotional Intelligence Education

Frameworks equips students, educators, and caregivers with the tools and strategies to build self-awareness, emotional regulation, empathy, and responsible decision-making, all critical life skills shown to improve behavior, academic performance, and mental well-being.

Our programming helps transform classrooms into more connected, safe, and supportive learning environments. But now, this essential work is at risk.

The Campaign: $100,000 to Keep the Work Going

The need is immediate, with the school year about to begin. It costs approximately $20,000 per school to deliver a full year of programming — including classroom instruction, teacher coaching, and caregiver/family engagement.

Our goal is to raise $100,000 to continue serving all five schools. If we fall short, funding will be prioritized based on need, readiness, and sustainability, ensuring every dollar is invested with maximum impact and transparency.
